Mohave County

Buster.jpg

“…in my personal opinion the county [Mohave], even up until today, has supported what goes on in the FLDS. It’s a law enforcement problem but when the money gets involved then it becomes political, when you have the kind of money that’s up there sitting in that town.”

Past President, Americans Against Abuses of Polygamy

If I'm not mistaken there are too many drug dealers to arrest in this country as well, but alas they don't have a religion to cling to in order to justify all their illegal activities.

So here we have two men, elected by the people of their states for the purpose of criminal prosecution of law breakers, choosing to simply ignore this country's laws against the cultural practice of polygamy, embrace the offenders and support their completely illegal "lifestyle".

What is next, California decriminalizing Marijuana and telling the federal government that it's none of their business if they choose not to prosecute this particular crime when they find it among their citizenry?

"The Arizona Attorney General and the Utah Attorney General have partnered to address crimes within the polygamous communities of Colorado City, Arizona and Hildale, Utah that involve child abuse, domestic violence and fraud."

"Polygamy is illegal in Utah and forbidden by the Arizona constitution. However, law enforcement agencies in both states have decided to focus on crimes within polygamous communities that involve child abuse, domestic violence and fraud."

"Public" Health Clinic?

hilldale

While the States of Utah and Arizona claim not to encourage or enable the illegal practice of polygamy, they are quietly supporting both polygamy and the isolation of concubines and children in the twin towns of Hildale, Utah and Colorado City, Arizona. The “Public Health Clinic” pictured here, does indeed receive state funding, however, as you can see from the photo of their clinic, with a ten foot security fence and electronic monitoring of the front gates, only members of the FLDS faithful, in good standing with “the prophet” are ever allowed access to treatment. All others are turned away at the gate.

This is the same clinic, where Pam Black gave birth to a stillborn infant, which staff wanted to bury in the back yard. Today, although she still lives there, Pam Black cannot get into this clinic for a simple flu shot. How exactly is this clinic “public” except that tax dollars fund it? All indications are that the citizens of the State of Utah are funding a private health clinic, exclusively for the FLDS faithful.

I have another question for the State of Utah. Why is there a private security fence stretched over what is obviously a portion of public road maintained by Washington County?
